Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the very first Met performance of the original five-act French version of Verdi’s grand masterpiece. A star-studded cast comes together in a gripping new production by David McVicar, including tenor Matthew Polenzani, soprano Sonya Yoncheva, mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton, baritone Etienne Dupuis, bass-baritone John Relyea, and bass-baritone Eric Owens. This epic gala evening includes a black-tie dinner before the performance and dessert during intermission.

Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Kevin Puts’s new adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Michael Cunningham has its world premiere in a production that radiates with star power. Soprano Renée Fleming returns to the Met, joining Kelli O’Hara, and mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato as the opera’s trio of heroines, with Yannick Nézet-Séguin on the podium to conduct Phelim McDermott’s new staging. The gala includes cocktails and dinner before the performance, followed by Champagne and dessert at intermission.

To ring in the new year, Umberto Giordano’s exhilarating drama returns to the Met repertory for the first time in 25 years, with a cast of thrilling voices headlined by soprano Sonya Yoncheva and tenor Piotr Beczała. After the premiere of David McVicar’s new production, the star duo—as well as soprano Rosa Feola, baritone Artur Ruciński, and Maestro Marco Armiliato—join the evening’s festivities: dinner, dancing, and fireworks on the Mercedes T. Bass Grand Tier.

Wagner’s soaring masterpiece makes a long-awaited return to the Met stage, in an evocative new staging by François Girard. Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts a supreme cast led by tenor Piotr Beczała in the title role, alongside sopranos Tamara Wilson and Christine Goerke, bass-baritone Evgeny Nikitin, and bass Günther Groissböck. The gala begins with a reception at intermission, followed by a dinner with the cast after the performance.

Terence Blanchard’s Champion

Following the historic Met premiere of Terence Blanchard’s Fire Shut Up in My Bones to open the 2021–22 season, the company raises the curtain on another compelling opera by the six-time Grammy-winning composer, directed once again by James Robinson. The cast is led by bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as the young boxer Emile Griffith and bass-baritone Eric Owens as the fighter’s older self, and also features soprano Latonia Moore and mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe, with Yannick Nézet-Séguin on the podium. Take part in the gala festivities with cocktails and dinner before the performance.
